One thing that really stands out about this first film adaptation of The Spider is how good the casting is. The leads are picture perfect and commanding actors to boot. Okay, so he's Canadian and not Indian -- perennial screen-thug Kenneth (aka Kenne) Duncan is great in this rare heroic role. His threatening presence and sharp, mesmerizing voice work well as the exotic aide Ram Singh.
