Collectibles
Outside of the pulp magazines themselves, there is very little for the fan to collect.
(Sigh.) Popular Publications only offered two premiums, a ring and a pencil.
The movie serials supplemented this with their own, slight, promotional items
and advertising. That's pretty much it ... until this year, that is!
ReelArt Statue Available Now!
A resin statue of the masked Spider -- with an alternate, fanged head! --
sculpted by hard-boiled specialist William Paquet.
The Spider Ring 2007!
Baen Books is returning The Spider to mainstream bookshelves,
and the tradition of The Spider Ring is returning to help promote it.
Premiums
Most characters in the '30s and '40s had a club of some kind or offered items that allowed the fans to
feel some kind of affiliation with their idols -- like the Spider League of Crime Prevention!
Serial Promotion
With lobby cards, stills, posters, pressbooks, and the odd promotional
giveaway there's lots to collect!
Pulp Collecting
The 118 issues of The Spider offer plenty to collect in and of themselves.
Here's a little info to get you started.
Fan Projects
So few Spider collectibles exist, or are even affordable, that
fans have taken to creating their own merchandise. If you want to share your own project here,
